ABSTRACT
The width of beaches in the western Crimea decrease from 40 – 50 m in 1980s to 10 – 20 m now. Beach depletion, coast abrasion and underwater slope erosion accompany these processes. Activization of exogenous processes is caused by deficit of beaches material due to intense anthropogenic impact on the coast. The main factors of economic activity are quarrying of sand and pebbles on the beaches; regulation of solid runoff of rivers; unwarranted hydrotechnical construction; dredging; pollution of sea waters and bottom sediment. To resolve current situation the different activities are proposed.
